Armpocket i-35 review and GIVEAWAY!

image-6

The people over at Armpocket were nice enough to send me one of their armpockets to do a review on. After discusing with them which model of their running arm bands would fit my phone, a Samsung S4 Active. They suggested I go with the i-35 model which is their biggest running armband and is made to fit phones up to 6 inches. One of the things that drew me to wanting to review the ArmPocket are that they are eco-friendly: "All Armpocket running arm bands are constructed using rugged PET fabric made from post consumer recycled plastic bottles. The soft mesh fabric also incorporates naturally sustainable bamboo, which is breathable, moisture wicking, and anti-bacterial, with no harmful chemicals to irritate your arm."
Another is that all Armpockets have different sized strap lengths (small, medium, large) that you can choose when ordering. I've tried other arm bands for my phone and the arm strap was always way too tight for my arm.

So lets review the i-35 running arm band! Here's what the Armpocket people had to say about it: If you are looking for an armband to carry even the largest phones, the Armpocket i-35™ armband is perfect for you. It holds your device plus room to spare for passports, maps, cards, cash and more. Fits the Samsung Galaxy® Note 2 or Galaxy S4/SIII with Otterbox cases.
  • Fits devices and cases up to 6 inches (15 cm) including the Samsung Galaxy® Note 2 and other large devices
  • Ergonomic design and memory foam padding resist slipping
  • Protects sensitive electronic devices from moisture damage
  • Our largest armband with maximum storage and three interior compartments
  • Comfortable, vented arm strap for extended wear
  • Full-screen access and large, touch-sensitive window for Smartphone access
  • Eco-friendly materials and design
My initial thoughts on it was that it looked a little bulky but to be honest in order to fit these gigantic smartphones nowadays it has to be. I liked that the pouch had this strap with a "sticky" rubbery strip that made sure your phone didn't slip while running with it. The armpocket also has space behind the phone where you can stick a key, credit cards or cash if you wanted to. Once I put on the armpocket and ran with it, I got used to it on my arm to the point that I hardly knew it was there. I felt my phone never jarred on my run and the fact that it has multiple entry points for your headphones was a nice added touch.

Overall I'd say this is a high quality comfortable running arm band that fits my arm and my phone great. I really do like the added features they have in terms of the extra pockets and the memory foam. Definitely a good purchase if you are looking for a good running arm band for your phone. The armpocket i-35 retails for $39.95.
