The Orb Deep Tissue Massage Ball REVIEW

I gotta admit, I never stretch before or after a run and that's probably the reason I love getting massages so much. When I lived in the Philippines massages were about $10 and I took full advantage of that. Back here in the States massages often run you $50+ so utilizing self massaging tools are a great way to get you some relief and also to save some money.

Some of the benefits of massages:
  • elongate the muscles
  • relieve muscle tightness
  • restore joint range of motion
  • improve circulation
The people at Pro-Tec Athletics were gracious enough to send me one of the "The Orb Deep Tissue Massage Balls" to do a review on.

According to Pro-Tec Athletics the Orb is a multidirectional roller that provides focused massage to target areas, enables the user to roll in small circles and also the length of a muscle.

What do I think of it?

Well its a 5'' massage ball made out of a high density foam. They have a 7'' one but the 5'' one is made to be a more aggressive massage. I've been using it for about a week now and to no one's surprise including my own it does what its set out to do. Which is exactly why I like this product. It's SIMPLE! It'll hurt when you get to those tender spots but in a good way. I had no issues with the ball slipping away from me because of the texturized dimples that they incorporated into the Orb. For anyone traveling its great because who wants to lug around a foam roller.

You can get yourself one from $19.95 at their website http://www.pro-tecathletics.com/ $19.95 for a might seem a little pricey but it is made out of a high quality foam and when compared to similar products it's actually on the lower end of the price spectrum.

Highlights:
  • It's made of a high quality dense foam
  • Ease of use
  • Great for travelers
Overall:

If you are looking to upgrade from the tennis ball this is a great product for you. It does what it says it will and does a good job at it.

  2. This ball is wonderful for deep tissue massage and release of trigger points. While using my daughter loved it so much she bought one of her own so she didn't have to wait to use it.

  3. To assess the effects ofmassage, we administered either massage therapy or no treatment to separate quadriceps of 11 young male participants after exercise-induced muscle damage. Muscle biopsies were acquired from the quadriceps (vastus lateralis) at baseline, immediately after 10 min of massage treatment, and after a 2.5-hour period of recovery.

  4. The objective of this kind of back rub is to realign the body's muscles how they should be. This kind of back rub is not a one-time give; it is finished in a progression of sessions over weeks or months. Manhattan couples massage

  5. This encourages the flow of blood through the body as well as a generic stretch of the muscle fibres and surrounding tissues. This is especially important in individuals who have relatively inactive lifestyles.best hot tubs
